Play Park Project Update: Community Has Chosen the Winning Design

Following the public consultation, and over 250 votes cast, Design 4 by HAGS received the highest number of votes and was the clear public favourite. The Council has reviewed the results and is pleased to ratify the outcome, meaning Design 4 will now move forward to construction.

What Happens Next?

The existing play area will close on Sunday 1st November, with work scheduled to begin on Monday 2nd.

Subject to weather conditions, site progress and the completion of all required safety inspections, the project is expected to be completed in time for a grand opening event on 22nd December, ready for families to enjoy during the Christmas holidays.

Please note that this timeline is provisional and may change if there are unforeseen delays. The new play park cannot open until all installation works have been completed and the necessary safety checks have been successfully carried out.
