Botley Bypass
Please see the below update from Hampshire County Council regarding upcoming road closures:
Following recent communications in March we advised that the planned closure for the Botley Bypass scheme originally scheduled for Easter, would take place in May. This closure is required to facilitate construction of the new roundabout at the A3051/A334 junction, including raising the existing road levels by approximately one metre.
To enable the work to take place safely, both the A3051 (YMCA Fairthorne to the A334) and the A334 (Sherecroft Way to Hilson Road) will be closed to traffic during the late May bank holiday week.
Please visit our website for precise dates and times for this closure

Community Update: Botley Bypass Viewing Area Now Open
As part of the ongoing commitment to keeping residents informed and engaged with the Botley Bypass project, we’re pleased to announce the opening of a dedicated viewing area. This space has been created to allow residents to safely observe the progress of construction.
The viewing area is situated along the track leading to Daisy Meadow Dairy Farm. From here, you’ll have a clear view of the bypass stretching east towards the new bridge over the River Hamble, and west towards the main compound on Winchester Street, where the bypass will connect with previous works.
QR codes have been placed around the site, providing easy access to up-to-date information about the scheme. Whether you're curious about the engineering or simply want to see how things are progressing, this space is designed to keep residents connected to the developments in their community.
In the coming weeks, they'll be adding educational materials to the viewing area to further enhance the experience. Please keep an eye out for these additions. Feel free to share this update with others who may be interested.
