Green Flag Award 2025
Today the team at Botley Parish Council are celebrating after once again receiving a Green Flag award for Botley Recreation Ground. Thank you to the Parish Council team members, Cllr Dan Simcock, and some of the users of our facilities at the Recreation Ground – including a star turn from Blossom the Dog – who joined us in the photo.
Botley Recreation Ground is one of 2,250 in the UK to achieve the award, which is the international quality mark for parks and green spaces.
The news that Botley Recreation Ground has met the standards required for the accreditation is testament to the hard work and dedication of the team that care for the green space so that visitors and residents alike can enjoy it.
Yesterday, Head Grounds Person David made the trip to Bath to attend the Green Flag Award Winners Ceremony where he was presented with our plaque by The Right Worshipful The Mayor of Bath, Councillor Professor Bharat Pankhania.
We are extremely proud of our park and look forward to welcoming people to enjoy the facilities over the upcoming summer holidays and beyond.
