Botley Bypass – Commencement of Advance Works.

We have been advised of the following by Hampshire County Council

Advanced Works:

On Friday 31 January 2025, there will be traffic signals and a lane closure on the A334 from 8pm to 6am the following morning. These measures are necessary to prepare for our advanced works.

Starting on Monday 3 February, vegetation clearance will commence along the A334 to remove the hedge and tree line, making way for the construction of the new roundabout. The works align with seasonal ecology constraints and will be monitored throughout removal. The works will take place during the day, with limited impact to the travelling public and pedestrians with traffic lanes and footways remaining open throughout.

Please note some Public Rights of Way have been temporarily closed to facilitate construction, these will reopen upon completion of the bypass. Please view the plan here:
